ME SEID or EDS?
« on: July 28, 2015, 12:50:13 AM »

It is interesting to note that Prof Kenny de Meirlier noted the connection between joint hypermobility and ME back in in 2006 !

Generalized joint hypermobility is more common in chronic fatigue syndrome than in healthy control subjects.

Nijs J1, Aerts A, De Meirleir K.

Journal of Manipulative Physiol Therapy. 2006 Jan;29(1):32-9.

...

As did Peter Rowe in 2002

Joint hypermobility is more common in children with chronic fatigue syndrome than in healthy controls.

Barron DF1, Cohen BA, Geraghty MT, Violand R, Rowe PC.

Journal of Pediatrics 2002 Sep;141(3):421-5.

......................................................................

It is also noted in the 2011 international Consensus Criteria (where POTS is noted as an ME symptom), that many people with ME also have joint hypermobility.
